If You want to see the town from the height of birds flight – make Yourself a gift of huge enjoinment by visiting of mount Bona. It was named after an Italian woman Bona, the wife of the king of Poland Zygmunt I, who gave her Kremenets and its outskirts in 1536. Bona Sforza was famous for her beauty and energy. She practically ruled the country. She bought out the land, effectively managed it and collected money, putting exhausting taxes on her serfs. She wanted to make the most beautiful all she touched and died on results of poisoning by youth elixir.

There were a lot of legends about Bona since old times (up to our days the imagination of the tourists is agitated by the story of her bathing in blood of virgins in order to make herself younger). When You will make a walk on a castle territory, You will see the place, where a bridge was connected, made from natural leather, on which she passed to the next mount to a monastery. Under the mount You can see a catholic monastery, which was built by her to celebrate miraculous escaping of falling down from the torn off bridge. There is a popular belief, that her spirit still lives in castle dungeon, and once a year on Easter she comes out to find the deserving one and give him her riches (in the castle there is hidden a treasury, full of gold, on the bottom of 80-meter deep dwell). The key of the treasury she is carrying in her teeth – and only the brave who will dare to kiss the spirit will find the treasure.
On the mountain, You can ascend and walk on castle walls. And when You will walk practically in the sky, and the town will lye on Your palms – You will not know, why You will be holding Your breath – whether because of that feeling of flight, or surrounding beauty, or because of the legends You just heard…
