Goverla and Black mountain

If you are interested what is the amazing nature of Zakarpat’ya look like from the bird’s-eye-view – attend Chernogorskij massif, on which you can visit the highest mountain peaks of Ukraine: Goverla (2061 meter above sea level) and Black mountain (2028 meters). Zakarpattia region.

Goverla in translation from Hungarian language means “Snow mountain” and this completely corresponds to the facts, because snow is lying here even in Summer. Its peak is like not big plane area, which will give you an opportunity to admire surrounding landscape in radius 360 degrees, and help to restore your forces and get rid of negative energy. The case is that at this very place situates unique magnetic anomaly, which influences positive effect on the human organism. You can feel the full value effect only if you climb the mountain by yourself – that’s why the elevator is not built here. The Goverla climbing has become the favorite route for many Ukrainian politicians.

Black mountain, which is being guarded by ancient Ugochanskij castle, was active volcano in prehistoric period and endowed this territory with specific energy and unique climate. Here you will find yourself in reserve zone, in which dwell rare animal species and grow exotic plants. Slopes are covered with fruit trees and vineyards, which are giving unusually tasty wine (cellars of Black mountain are ready to open for you the secrets of its making). The ancient town Vinogradovo is waiting for you at the foot of it. Many architectural monuments and temples (in one of them the lies ashes of saint Yana Kapistrani who encouraged by sermons forces of Christians in their struggle with Turks) will tell you its centuries-old history. This town remember that he was the witness of the first concert of the famous Hungarian composer Beil Bartok (who was only 11 then).
And still these very mountains became the asylum of local Robin Hood – Oleksa Dovbush, who (following the law of justice), had taken away by force the loot and distributed between those who were needy. His hiding place with gold which he had no time to distribute because of sudden death still is being kept in mountains. He entrusted to open it the one who lives under true laws – which read that just society is impossible to build if anyone in it will be guided by his own “selfish” interest. And nevertheless today there are not many people who live under the Laws of Justice – the one says that the new and better time is coming…
