Stone women

You are invited to touch antiquity by the biggest collection of stone plastic in Ukraine! There are 80 stone women, some of them saw the daylight in III BC, near the Historical Museum of Dnipropetrovsk. They call them “baba” (both from Ukrainian “an old woman” and ancient “an ancestor”).

Here You can find archaic statues of gods, radiating warmth (prayers, directed to them in thousands of years can be felt today as positive energy), enigmatic stellas, symbolizing the unity of masculinity and femininity (they say, that if to touch them and ask happiness in personal life – they will surely help). Here You will meet a lot of images: warriors in helmets and armor, with swords, daggers and arrows, sorrowful women and great ladies in hats with flirty handbags on their waists. The unique Nataliyivska Statue and the Idol of Kernosov (that is without match in any of the European museums) – graceful with secret ornaments, hidden meaning of which is still be found, are eager to meet You.
