If you want to breathe the air of unique juniper grove, learn secrets of producing sparkling
wines and taste champagne in a deep cave then welcome to Noviy svet (located near Sudak, Crimea).
This is a place of Lev Golitsyn’s estate, one of the founders of wine-making in Russia. He spent all his life on finding the ways to make the Crimean wines the best ones in the world. He succeeded in 1900. At the World Exhibition in France his sparkling wine won Grand Prix. This exhibition had an interesting story: when
the exhibition closed its participants tasted wine-winners. French Count Chardon, a head
of the expert committee, proposing a toast praised his champagne (that people were drinking at that moment) and thanked its winemakers for such a great taste. Hardly had he finished count Golitsyn stood up and thanked count Chardon advertising. In fact this was Noviy svet champagne that people were tasting.
Currently Golitsyn’s estate serves as Winery History Museum that you can visit. There is also a plant producing a big variety of champagne (7 caves were cut in the nearby Eagle mount to cellar the
wines).
Come to Noviy svet that will gladly sharer a formula of success with you so that you could achieve the most bold heights.
