Pidhirtsi Castle (Lviv region) is a majestic and a royal three-story palace situated on a high mountain and surrounded by deep moats, dirt walls and a line of defensive fortifications. Here you will see a coaching inn, Kostel, a tavern, variety of halls; Chinese, golden, mirror and mosaic rooms; an archive and a library. The castle together with Olesko, Svirzh and Zolochiv castles consist “A golden horseshoe” of touristic route around the castles of Lviv region.

Coming here, you will know that in past the castle gathered local grand people; it was a site for great holidays accompanied with fireworks, military parades, spectaculars (one of such events was attended by Honorе de Balzac). The orchestra and theater entertained numerous guests.

The castle together with its coaching inn and other buildings is surrounded by a beautiful park. This is a place where one can see exotic birds and wild rare plants (You will see a lime where Bohdan Khmelnitskiy had a rest during castle stormed). This is the only one park in Italian style that remained in Ukraine.
