Chersonese
If you want to see the legendary "Russian Troy" which is the part of Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome and Byzantium history – you should necessarily visit Chersonese (located not far from Sevastopol).
This place has a particularly "strong energy". Here in 988 AD Prince Vladimir has been baptized, and he transformated the Christianity into the state religion of Russia. The greatest orthodox temple of the Crimea - St. Volodymyr's Cathedral was built there. Olvia
If you are interested in objects of antiquity – visit the ancient Greek settlement Olvia (Mykolaiv region) This is one of the most interesting archaeological objects in Ukraine. For today, only 1 / 80 part of it is excavated. Everything else, based in the deep firth, is remained to be "open". Snake Island
An outermost south-western point of Ukraine (Odesa Region). This island is mentioned in ancient sources (it was a shelter for sailors and travelers). Here you’ll get into the holy place, the sanctuary of Achilles who has been an ancient Greek myth hero of Trojan War. You can even find the place where his temple was located. People say that Achilles’ spirit is at the small island now and that the hero lives there as a blessed person with an invisible life.
Dzharylhach Island
If you want to get to the largest desert island of the Central Europe, and feel an incredible legend, visit Dzharylhach Island (Kherson Region). At this island Gerakles raced herds of horses around, while resting between feats.
This is the island, to which Odysseus ships landed after destruction of Troy. With friends he come into the hands of a one-eyed Cyclops-cannibal, and then was saved by a miracle. This confirms the fact that only among the Black Sea tribes one-eyed arimasps were known. They were former slaves of the Scythians who blinded their captives.
There is a thin shelly plait, separating a lagoon from the sea. It is named «Achilles' Run» in honour of Artemis sanding before feet of the escaping maiden, who have decided to rush into the sea to avoid be violently given to Achilles.
