Let’s feel the miracle of one of the fifteen world’s spiritual centers, recognized by the Catholic Church – in XVII century it was assigned the status of pilgrim center by Vatican. Come to Zarvanytsya’s Cathedral of The Mother of God (Ternopil region). This sacred place in its powers could be compared with Kyivo-Pecherska, Pochayivska and Svyatogirska Lavras.

According to a legend, this place was consecrated by the Mother of God, which appeared to a monk in his dream and pointed out a place, where he after waking up found the famous miraculous icon of the God’s Mother (XII AD). The icon is radiating light and warmth and has the miraculous power, which has helped many people. In 1867 the Pope Pius IX crowned the Zarvanytsya icon.

Today there is a big religious complex. You can admire the majestic Cathedral of Zarvanytsya’s Mother of God, a chapel over the Holy healing spring and a 75-meter high four store belfry. You can also take a part in celebrations, which take place on a specially built Song Festival Grounds (can accommodate up to 50.000 participants).

Come to Zarvanytsya, the place, consecrated by prayer and faith – every year it is visited by about one million pilgrims from over the world.
